Can someone please explain the following.
I have created some good quality VCDs (yes really!), and something a little odd is occuring on playback.
If I play the VCD on my PC's DVD-Rom there is the odd jerky movement in the same places, however, played in my Toshiba DVD standalone player, it is perfect. Not that I am moaning, but it just seems a bit odd.
Process - PAL VHS VCR through a Canopus ADVC-50, captured on Windows Movie Maker as an AVI, encoded as VCD on TMPGEnc and burned using Nero on an LG CDrw.
The DVD-Rom on my PC is usually reliable.
Thanks.

A bit more information on this problem:
I have changed the CD RW and this has made no difference.
The AVI frame rate is captured at 25fps and encoded using the same rate as I am converting PAL VHS to PAL VCD.
I have tried different blank cd brands inc. RW.
Different encoding settings on TMPGEnc gives the odd jerky playback in different places during the video.
I have burned perfect playing VCDs in the past, and the only thing that is different is that I had to replace my firewire card since!
Can someone please help, as originally I said that it was not too much of a problem, but now it is really irritating me!Cole -
I have tracked down the culprit: Power DVD was the offending article.
