Cdrw not reading in PC DVD

Hi

I know this has probably been asked before, but I cant seem to find the answer to my problem. I know its something obvious but cant put my finger on it.

Since I installed a new hardrive and reloaded all my software, when i burn a data disc it reads fine in my laptop cd rom and anyone else's cdrom but it isn't recognised in my pc dvd or a friend pc dvd, but before i reloaded it worked fine. It must be a setting thats differant but can't for the life of me work out what it is.....and the cd coasters are building up

Xp Pro
256 ram
aopen ak73 pro (a)
1400 Athlon T/Bird
Nero 5.5 Burning Software
Fireburner Burning Software

Any help would be appreciated

WOW !!!

Cant belief it was such a difficault question.....either that its so easy that everyone is to embarrased to answer it ?
