  1. I have 3 band of brothers videos and a vampire hunter d video. 2 of the band of brothers were originally .avi's when I got them (and so was the vampire hunter d), but the 3rd band of brothers video was a .mpg.

Now, I used TMPGEnc to encode all of them. At the time of encoding, all 4 videos had PERFECT quality, no stuttering or color defects. Well, the band of brothers that started out as .mpg worked fine; it was television quality when I burned it to a vcd. Well, the vampire hunter d was fine also (synching problems, but I had no trouble fixing that) so I converted it to .mpg and burned it to a cd. No color problems there either. I did the exact same thing with the 2 band of brothers .avi fies, but as TMPGEnc is encoding the screen turns pink after a few frames. Note that the original .avi did NOT have this problem

So, does anyone know what is causing this and how I can fix it? Or maybe there is a filter I can apply? I just dont understand...

  3. Oh my.

I downloaded all the latest codecs including the Nimo Pack. I then converted the .avi to .mpg. The pink problem is gone, but now there are blotches all over the screen, to the point where the movie isnt worth watching. On top of that, ALL my .avi movies play upside down! Ive never heard of this, now what do I do?

  4. Wonderful. I uninstalled all my video and audio codecs then reinstalled the latest versions of each. Now when I try to watch my videos, I get an illegal op (or whatever its equivilent is called in WinXP) and the program closes; Windows Media Player 8 btw, which always worked before. I dont know what to do...
