Hi,
First, I would like to thank all of you who responded to my previous posting. This forum is great.
I am trying to convert of Analog tapes to digital format. I have ATI 7500 AIW. After a lot of trials, the following are my observations. Your comments are appreciated. Assume that the source quality is 10.
1. Capture using ATI in AVI format (640X480 - UYVY - a lot of diskspace). Convert to VCD using TMPGEnc (as per the guide posted on this site). Burn using Nero. The quality is 8.
2. Capture using ATI in AVI format (320X240 - UYVY). Convert to VCD using TMPGEnc (as per the guide posted on this site). Burn using Nero. The quality is 8.
3. Capture using VDub with Huffyuv compression (settings are as per the forum's guide). Convert to VCD using TMPGEnc (as per the guide posted on this site). Burn using Nero. The quality is 7.
4. Capture using VDub with MJPEG compression (settings are as per the forum's guide). Convert to VCD using TMPGEnc (as per the guide posted on this site). Burn using Nero. The quality is 6.
5. Capture using VisualStudio with ATI AVI. Convert to VCD using VisualStudio. Burn using Nero. The quality is 8.
6. Capture using ATI in AVI format (640X480 - UYVY). Convert to SVCD using TMPGEnc (as per the guide posted on this site). Burn using Nero. Apply the header trick. My DVD is Panasonic RV31. It doesn't work (I still need to run the disk in higher speed). Please note that I downloaded the demo and I applied the header trick and the demo worked okay??????

Thanks,
