  1. How do I go about doing this and do you lose quality and if so how much.I am trying a 1 cd template but it seems my dvd player will only handle 29.76 framerate on a non standard vcd.

    Thanx

  2. You can use AviFrate to change the video framerate and CoolEdit or GoldWave to upsample audio then load audio and video separately into TMPGEnc using 29.970 fps template. You won't lose any quality this way but your audio and video will, most likely, playback too fast making it look funny. You can still try and see if that is the case - please post your results then.

  3. even better would be to just use a utility like pulldown.exe to give you an internal 29.97 so your standalone will play it.

    go here for pulldown.exe
    http://www.doom9.org/index.html?/software2.htm

unzip it and open a cmd window then navigate to the path you have it stored in. Drag your mpv file into the command window and then do it again changing the extension to m2v so it looks like this:

    d:\pulldown.exe d:\yourpath\yourmovie.mpv d:\yourpath\yourmovie.m2v

press enter and wait about 5-10 minutes for your video to have it applied and mux as normal

pulldows only works on mpeg-2 so that's not it.

Unfortunatly the easiers was is just to modify the 1-cd template and make it's framerate 29.97. That's about the bast you can do and their will be problems.
