  1. when adding chapter points why does it take so long for it to refresh the video????

i go to the spot where i want to add the chapter point, enter it in manually and then wait several minutes before i can do anything else with DVDit...

    WTF!?!?!?!

    I have a p4-1.7Ghz with 512MB ram and its only a 400MB video file.

Spruce DVD didn't have this issue.

    whats wrong???

    thanks

go back to spruce mate - think i've tried nearly all low end packages. Don't give yourself a headache.

I've done all the fancy menus etc, and now i realise all you need is one menu saying "1 film 1, 2 film 2, 3 film 3" etc. You watch the films not the menus and chapters.

  4. i would but i don't like the fact that spruce makes everything a button!!

i want to add an image that does nothing. i got the layers down but users can still use the arrows to select the button even if it does nothing. it makes navigation a pain.

so how do i add an image (not background) without it becoming a selectable button?

Do you mean impose a graphic on top of the background ?

I would use a program such as Corel Draw. import graphic for background and import another graphic to be place on top or imposed on top of first. Save as .cdr file then export as a .jpeg file and then import the jpeg as the background for your menu with the graphic on a graphic already done.
