Hello,
I have home video (analog), which I have imported into iMovie. I'd like to make an SVCD using ffmpegX. I have been able to export .mov files from iMovie and make .mpg files using ffmpegX. But I've noticed that often it is suggested that the .mov files from iMovie should be imported into QuickTime Pro and exported with "high quality enabled" flag turned on. Is this going to make a noticeable difference given that my source data is probably only a 6 or 7 on a scale of 10 to start with?
Thanks
Mike

I'm not sure how much it will improve quality, but you will need the Pro version of QT to be able to export movies. Pro and regular are the same versions, you just need a serial number to unlock the pro features.

You don't have to export the movie to enable high quality but you do have to have QT Pro.
