  2. To replace the background with your H8 video requires that you
demux the audio & video, swap the video with a re-encoded version
of your H8 video and remux.

    You will lose
your karaoke text which is likely to be hardcoded into the mpeg-1 video stream.
You would be faced with re-doing all the txt, transcoding your H8 video
via an analog capture card and re-transcoding via a mpeg encoder.

Not worth the effort I think?

see guides on left hand side about Capture, Making a VCD.

  3. What?

Is the Vocal text hardcoded in the Video stream?

when the answer is: NO !!!

VCD does not support Subtitle streams
so you could not extract the text.

You could put your video on 3/4 of the screen as long it does
    not block the text.

    Using some video editing software.

  4. yeah ok thanks, but might i add that i think that the karaoke subtitles are already embedded in the vcd player system , as this system was created mostly as a karaoke player. The player comes with two discs, everything is the same but the backgrounds, so I was wondering if that it would be possible to still change it?? thanks again in advance!!
