Too Many Coasters

Please help, am trying to rip a dvd which is under 4.3Gb, to a DVD -R.
Have been using Dvd decrypter as instucted by one of the guides here.

Once i have made the backup, it reads in the DVD -R drive as a dvd video (autoplay runs etc) but when i place the dvdR into my dvdrom drive, it sees it as a dvd rom disk and freezes when i try to play.

Can anyone please help me.
I have upgrade the firmware of my Pioneer 104 to 1.32 (i think thats the number)
Am using bulkpaq generation 3 Dvds.

Maybe your DVD-ROM drive is not compatible with -R media.

Try it on a different drive/player.

tried one in a different system, and still didnt work, am downloading 1.33 firmware now, maybe that will help

Just tried the said disc in my ps2................

Started to load up the dvd, then said unable to load disc.

Might seems wiid to you, but this is kinda the hest i got with the dvdr on my ps2. Am burning a new copy with my new and improved firmware 1.33

Hopefully that will work.

If any one can tell me easier ways to make 1 : 1 copies please let me know as you have probably guessed by now........... im a newbie

Have you successfully burnt any DVD-Rs that were not ripped?

nope not yet, one because i cant seem to get tmpgenc to encode my files properly ( they seem to stop half way!!!!) and i do not have any other mpeg2 files on my pc to burn.
Have tried in total 7 dvd r's so far, only have 8 left, and dont get paid till wednesday.

Use DVD-RW untill you get it right,

Ofcource DVD-ROM are less compatile with RW as they are less reflective.

wehheyyyyyyyy it finally worked, it must have been a dodgy firmware i was using.

Mallrats worked straight away on my ps2
