I intend to get a studio DC10plus card to transfer mu VHS tapes to VCD and SVCD
is it possible to save the input file as a mpeg rather than a AVI file.
saving as avi is just to long a file and the conversion back to mpeg take far to long , there must be a better way.
would it be possible to input and burn at the same time ?

Yes, there are numerous programs that capture in MPEG. I use Ulead Video Studio 6 to capture in MPEG. The demo is free.
