When I try to convert my divx file, The World is Not Enough, I always get an audio sync problem. It starts out fine but then become increasingly more noticable to the point that at halfway through the movie the sound is about 1 min off!!!
Is this framerate trouble? Virtualdub says the framerate is 24.012 fps, and i try to encode @ 24 fps.

hmm, ya, i think that might be your problem...
Well, there are 2 things we can try now...
1) seperating the audio from the video
2) converting the 24.012 fps -> 25fps
I think 1) will give you more chances of working...
Ok, get into VirtualDub
*Now, you can also check for bad frames, somtimes, they are the problem too... so i suggest you check for bad frames... how?
VIDEO -> SCAN FOR BAD FRAMES
when it's done, FILE -> SAVE AS AVI
close VDUB
Reopen VDUB -> open the avi you saved a minit ago
video: DIRECT STREAM COPY
audio: WAV audio
file: Save as WAV
ok, now to get that into TMPG
Video Source: the AVI you made
audio Source: the wav you saved
i think that should do the trick...
BUT, if that wouldn't work...
ok, get in VDUB again
open the AVI you saved a minit ago(that is scanned for bad frames)
Video: FULL PROCESSING MODE
video: Change Frame Rate
-> Change to 25 FPS ->ok
Audio: Full processing mode -> you know, the things u usually do
File -> save as AVI
Done!
