Encode mode.....

What setting should i have this on,the default that its set on is ' interlaced '.

if the source file is 23.976fps then set it to pulldown which will give you an internal fps of 29.97 for playback on your standalone

when i get a source that is 23.976fps,i just load the NTSC 29.97fps template and encode it like that.

interlaced = DV camcorder, TV material.
3:2 pulldown when playback = NTSC FILM DVD (used force film)
non-interlaced = Mostly only for Progressive PAL
Inverse 3:2 pulldown = Removes the hardcoded Telecine
NTSC FILM DVDs have soft telecine,
just a flag to tell the DVD player to do the telecine during playback
telecine = 3:2 pulldown
