Please point me to information regarding do it yourself conversion of VHS to DVD. What kind of capture card? Is that what allows you to record the VHS to the computer hardrive? If I buy a computer with a DVD-RW, will I need additional software? You simply play the tape from a VCR to the computer's hardrive and then burn a DVD from the hardrive?

See that cool menu over there on the left side of the screen? See the section marked "How To"? See the second topic labeled "Capture - VCR, TV, CAM, DV"?
I'd like to suggest that you read that..
