  1. Hi!

I am trying to creat a photo cd which I can select the different tracks on it. The only problem is that these cds contain and upwards of 800+ pictures and I am unable to select the different tracks (each jpg is a track). The only way to select different tracks is by pressing the skip track buttons. This becomes a problem when I want to view pictures that have a high track number. It is very annoying pressing the skip track button 400 times!

I have burned a few photo cds using Nero 5.5 by dragging and dropping jpgs and played them using my Apex 660.

I know that I could make mpgs or the pictures and separate the mpgs by category and then burn them, but I want a process similar to Nero's.

Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

  4. Well I burned one with around 1800 images on it with Nero 5.5 and I am able to view the ones past track 99, but I just can't select the tracks I want to view because, I think, PBC only allows the viewing of sequintial tracks and no manual selection.

I read a post that said that creating a cd using WinOnCD would allow the selection of tracks, but I don't know where to get a demo of it. I also have VCD2tk but I don't know how to use it.

BTW Alucard, what burning program did you use?

  5. Hehe, thanks for the nfo alucard. I am now trying to make a cd using WinonCD 3.8 PE. I'm making one that is using the extended vcd option, and I will try using the photo album option next.

The only drawback that I have seen so far is the amount of pictures you can put on the disc. The maximum amount of pictures I am able to put on the xvcd is around 500 because it says the starting track has to be less than 66 minutes! When I tried making an album, I was able to put alot of pictures in each album, but since WinonCD seems to only like bmps, the pics take up alot more space. =/ I put around 1600 jpgs on the cd, and it said the disc run time ws 91 mins!

Is there a way to make WinonCD accept jpgs or am I stuck using bmps? Also, is there a way to make a photo album/xvcd with 1000+ pics on it using WinonCD 3.8 PE? As I said before, I have only been able to add around 500 because of the pictures taking up so much space when Win converts them to bmp, but the original pics are small jpgs taking up only 50-250kb each. Anyone know? Thanks!
