  1. I bought this Panasonic RV32 DVD PALYER in Melbourne, Australia. After waiting for 4 months I got a remote to convert it to multizone. I can play all english DVD's(Australian version) movies without any problem.

But I bought it with specifically to play Indian Movies DVD's made in USA.These DVDs says allzone on them.
    It does NOT WORK.

The manual on page 5 says that it can play NTSC DVD on my PAL TV using PAL60 output from DVD. It does not work. I do get the picture in tripple. The TV screen shows same image three times in one frame. I called Panasonic and they said that I need to buy a New TV (NTSC compatible) which I refused.
As I have the DVD for couple of months I can not return it although I bought it under the impression that I will be able to play all DVD's once I get the service remote to convert it to multizone. Any help!

Once I converted my DVD using the service remote to multizone it displays FM02 on the DVD display.

Help! Suggestion to reset the DVD player!

    Thanks
    Ravi

  2. I have the Panasonic RV41, a variation on this model. Somewhere in the setup menus (at work at the mo and can't remember exactly) there is an option to output either Pal60 or NTSC when playing NTSC disks. Find this and try the alternative setting, it may help.

  3. Hi Ravindra,
you don't need an NTSC TV, but only a new PAL TV (or an hardware fix if it's possible...).
The problem is that PAL60 is not exactly PAL. (Your RV32 is OK)
PAL60 uses the color PAL encoding but still NTSC framing (60 per second).
"real" PAL is 50 per second.
Almost all newer PAL TV set can accept 60 per second PAL timing.
Old TV set show the problem you describe.
So it's a question of TV circuitry, not a NTSC/PAL issue.
You could ask to some electronics guru if you can modify your TV synch circuitry to "pass" the 60 per second frame.

By the way how did you buy the factore remote ?
I too have a RV32 but Panasonic service told me that it doesn't sell it here (I am in Italy) and black market price is 450 Euro. (three times the RV32 cost...). Can you gibe me some info ?

    Greetings from Italy, ciao

  6. Hi Ravi,
here local Panasonic service says that they don't know this option.
If you have some time, can you please tell me the panasonic remote product number (hope you can read it on the invoice or on the remote itself).
Also it would be of great help to me if you could open your remote and tell me the code printed on the main (bigger) chip inside.
In exchange, if you tell me your TV model I could search if I can find some tips about how to modify for PAL60. Do you already have your TV schematics ?
    Thanks for your help,
    ciao
