  1. I have been playing all my DVD Divx Rips on PowerDVD Xp and I was wondering if there was a way to get it to go Widescreen on full screen. Make Sense?
When I have it in a window it does not have the black bars on the top or the bottom of the window. So when I hit Full screen it literally goes full screen and stretches everything out . Anyway to fix this?

  2. Hi Spyder,

Makes perfect sense! Using PowerDVD 3, I was able to play AVI's in widescreen format, then for no reason I can think of, it wouldn't. I re-installed and made no difference. Tried keep aspect ratio and nothing. Sent my problem to CyberLink and the response was "Power DVD does not keep aspect ratio on .AVI's" But I swear that I was able to before. I know this doesn't solve your problem/question but you are not alone.

    Good Luck!

Is keep aspect ratio checked? It could also be a codec you may have recently installed. some support widescreen others don't

  4. When playing a AVI file there is no Option for "Keep Aspect Ratio". Also if I play the file in lets say Winamp 3 it makes it widescreen in full screen. The problem with winamp 3 is that the picture can not keep up with the sound and its poor quality. PowerDVD plays it flawlessly exept for the widescreen.
