@ liquid217,
I think your app is great (short and sweet) and a freeware too..but its
still not working
I think I know why, ..cause I'm under Windows 98 Gold.
Even after following your Short Guide to the letter, I still can't get it work
like it's suppose to.
Very briefly, (case someone else experiences this same thing) my .mpg
sources are as such:
* TMPG, I encoded using the ES (Video+Audio) which creates the two
...files, .m2v and .mp2 for later authoring.
* Then, I load up DVD Author GUI and proceed to your Guide
* But my final results are unsuccessful.
Thanks again,

Oh, at @liquid..
If you have a Thread already on your app, I can go their and discuss my
issues, so that I do not taint (or violate) forum rules here
If not, maybe you could create a Thread on your app, so we can have a
place to dwell as to our success or what-have-you :P
Thanks again,

To those that may have ben following the above few issues I was on about,
FYI, its ben settlted. I now have DVD Author v0.4.7b working like a champ :P
Thanks Baldrick for incorporating an IRC type feature on this board,
which allowed me to be assisted by the developer (Liquid217) "live" to overcome
the issues I was having above.

Also, thanks for the recommend of this app too
My next hurdle, Menu's .. ooh, can't wait. Anyways, thanks all,

I know this might be a very dumb question as I'm new to DVD authoring but what is the guide's DVD Image referring to? Is it a DVD menu?

hi Sakuya,
I haven't gotten to the MENUS part just yet
Good luck anyways..

IFOEdit v.0.94 was too buggy for me, haven't tried v.0.95 though.
DVDAuthor and DVDAuthorGUI work just fine. Adding chapter points is easy, menu creation also easy- for example take a jpg, resize to legal DVD resolution in Paint, maybe clear a block for text, add text, convert to m2v still within DVDAuthor. Then add buttons and corresponding actions. You can add audio as well (mp2), even motion menus supposedly, though I haven't tried it yet. BUT, your elementary streams must be m2v and mp2 and named as such or DVDAuthor will not accept them. Correct me if I'm wrong. Not too damn bad for freeware. No, it's really surprising it is freeware, it's quite good. JMHO
Oh, I use the ImgTool/DVDDecrypter method for DVDs created this way. There's an option in DVDAuthor to create ISO image, but it hasn't done so successfully for me, don't know why. Instant Copy for some reason has occasionally disliked the input and insisted on reencoding. Big pain in the ass. Getting to the point I don't care to use IC anymore.
Thanks are due to Baldrick for yet another valuable contribution.Pull! Bang! Darn! -
