I'm using PicturetoTv to create a slideshow and I noticed that the images on the VCD are degraded quite a bit. I scanned the original jpegs at 150dpi ... I assume that scanning them at a higher res will allow them to look sharper when converted to vcd?
Is there an ideal res that the original images should be scanned at? Is jpg a good enough format?
Thanks for the help.

jpg is fine, when I scan an image I do so at a minimum of 300dpi.

I think PTV encodes your images into a movie so you can have transition effects so the picture degrades a bit. Try Ulead DVD PictureShow. There is no transition effect but I will take the clear pictures.

I also used this a while back.
