Why is TMPGEnc listed as freeware in the tools section? It looks like it costs $48 if you want to encode mpeg-2 files for more than 30 day. Sounds more like shareware. Is there a real freeware program that does the same thing and outputs to mpeg-2?

Tmpgenc is freeware if you use it for mpeg1. Tmpgenc plus is the "real" shareware version.
