i capture video using ATI MMC in VCD format but when i cut out the commercials the audio goes out of sync in the clips. If i re-encode the video (using tmpeg) before i try to edit it then the audio is fine, but that adds about 5 extra hours to the process that i would rather avoid. The file details (bit rate, mux rate, etc...) all seem to be the same before and after encoding so i don't know why i have audio sync errors before re-encoding but not afterwards. Any thoughts?
