Cinema Craft using multipass VBR makes separate video (mpv) and audio (mpa) files. How do I put the video and audio back together to make the MPEG-2 file? Can Cinema Craft do this or do I need another program? I think I've seen that TMPEG can multiplex and de-multiplex this stuff, but the question is it seems weird to me that Cinema Craft cannot do this. I'm thinking I need a hint at how to do it in Cinema Craft.

Help would be much appreciated. Thanks in Advance.

Cinemacraft CAN do this - but it does a fairly poor - make that very poor job of it.
    For MPEG2 it's called a Program Stream ( PS )
    For MPEG1 it's called a System Stream ( SS )

I have had real problems with certain files - some play with my hollywood + others fail
    just multiplex them with TMPEGenc

or BBMPEG if your really keen

Alright I'll give this BBMPEG a try. Thanks for the advice.

It's re-assuring to know that I'm not crazy that it is not possible to get a VBR encoded MPEG in Cinema Craft to go to an .mpg file.

Hmmm, in bbMPEG .mva files are not accepted. How the heck can I put the audio back with the video file with this tool?

    Looks like I'm using TMPEG

  5. Just rename the audio. I think BBmpg uses mp2 for audio. so just change the mpa to mp2

Alright I was thinking of trying that so perhaps it was worth a shot.

Something i noticed when I went ahead and used TMPEG to multiplex is that it appears I made the SVCD @ 6000kbps! I could swear I told it VBR with 300 as the min, 2300 as the average and 2520 as the Max. Guess Cinema Craft will be running overnight again and hopefully doing the job @ 2300 not @ 6000kbps LOL!
