i recoreded some mpeg2 file from my tv tunner capture card. some file are pretty big. i want to cut out some of the commercials and stuffs like that but the file ended up around 400mb for a 20-25 mins show. i look at some of the mpeg file that dvd2svcd make from ripping dvd. i notice the file is about 750mb and the running time is ~ 60 mins. i just wonder what program should i use to make my file smaller and have good quality. thanks.

tmpgenc or cce or mainconcept will work to re-encode ... cce you need a few more steps
tmpgenc you can edit with ..
or edit with bbmepg but a bit more work ..
or vegas video can do all edit and re-encode in one shot ... -
