I don't know anything about it, but here is a link to the product page. Reading about it now.

I'm currently in the beta testing group at dvdxcopy.com a sililar program
still working out the bugs

Is this the same product as VOB InstantCD / DVD ??
Somehow looks similar. Uses all the same names.
I tested a few clips (vcd/svcd only) with it and was less than impressed, very little that the user can change.
It does handle NTSC so its not jjust Pal.
Ok for a newbie I guess. There's not much to do but then I can't do much anyway.

EnemyWithin:
I only tried the module they call InstantVideo.
I didn't look at their DVD module too much since I don't have a writer but my first vcd test targetted to 1 cd gave me a file of 923mb even though I chose an 80 min cd. A bit of overshoot wouldn't you think.
I had a few other navigation issues with it. Overall the quality of vcd or svcd would not interest the average user of this forum. The 3 tests I made had terrible audio lag. There's not much to do but then I can't do much anyway.

We do object to repackaged freeware that is sold under a disguised name.
This is not the case here. There's not much to do but then I can't do much anyway.

Come on lets be nice now.
The version of the program I saw is very intuitive. It is designed for the beginner so its very much point and click.
I am not advocating its use just answering the question of freebee22.There's not much to do but then I can't do much anyway.

hey, jeex... you are assuming that I have that program...I was just trying to see how easy it is to use...I didn't know that the program itself is already simplified for beginers...you must be a smart person because only smart people think that way to make a bold comments like that.. yes I might be a moron to you but Iam not afraid to ask question to learn.....like some people would say the only dumb question is the question you don't ask .............

ok so im tryin to rip my first dvd with this and when i load the ifo in and start it encoding it just says encoding failed the source maybe be read only or copyright protected? Any ideas? ive ripped the dvd to my hard drive with dvd decrypter, taken macro off and made it region free? Do i need to edit the ifo first or anything?
cheers
-
sounds like the one, mine u open it up and it gives u the wizard so u choose new dvd, then u load the ifo file and it shows u all the vobs associated with it from which u cant choose anything so u hit continue, then u get the chance to make the quality better and keep exisiting files etc, so then u hit next and it starts to encode and this is where mine bombs! any ideas
cheers

gll99...i guess u arent understanding what i'm saying here.....YES INSTANTCD does have a **DEMO** link in the tools section...not the same as distributing the full version like what was mentioned
DEMOS, TRIALS, and FREEWARE can be distributed
but if the creator of this post was indeed referring to a DEMO version of the software then i stand corrected but i just cant understand if he was talking about a demo why would he say "if you want the iso contact me "when u could usually download a demo from the authors site
what do u think the author of the stienberg dvd copy would do if he knew a vcdhelp forum member was soliciting the distribution of his software on vcdhelps forum......?
anyways that just my opinion......
"opinions are like a$$holes...everyone has one"

eatin sammiches for lunch:
Thanks for pointing this out. I guess I was concentrating on the product.
I think I missed something by reading quickly. When I first read the post I thought he was referring to a sample of the movie that he had encoded and was proud to show off. After reading through dozens of threads its easy to miss some detail.
This puts a different spin on it .
dvdhacker sweden:
If you were offering the iso of the software here then its out of line.
You may not have intended to but this is not acceptable on any of the forums of VCDHelp.
You should edit your post and remove that statement. There's not much to do but then I can't do much anyway.

I have DVD Movie Copy and I cannot get it to do what it is supposed to do. If I try to copy a DVD with the InstantCopy part of the software it proceeds to read the DVD, tells me the write has been succesful (after what seems to be about alf an hour) but nothing has been written to my DVD+RW. If I use the main DVD Movie Copy software I get to the conversion options selectors and no matter what I select as soon as the Conversion Progress window opens and the disc is read I get an error "CoInitialize has not been called" and that is it! I have tried installing the software in different stages. I have downloaded the updated CD/DVD writer drivers from Steinberg. Anybody have any ideas????

You miss the point. The why not is simple: it's against BOARD rules.
The rules of the BOARD are posted and we want to be members in good standing. The rules are simple. We obey them or go somewhere else. Baldrick is the Owner and webmaster not us.
As to use of the tools:
Neither can we stop anyone from wacking someone with their DVD player........ we just don't do it here.
So be a good member and modify your post and enjoy the site.

It is the view of the forum that as long as there is no obvious evidence that you are breaching copyright and you are acting within the fair use policies of most copyright legislations around the world, that it is OK.
Thus, what is NOT okay on this forum includes discussion on ripping DVD rentals, downloading movies that you do not already own and most certainly the giving, requesting, offer or linking to warez.
I don't consider that "ripping" a DVD is in anyway illegal as long as you have a right under Fair Use to that content. It is, IMHO, no different from me burning my own compilation CD from the existing CDs I own, or converting a CD to audio tape, etc.
The only grey area is the use of a CSS encryption breaker that is usually necessary. Leglislation has spread around the world that makes devices that defeat digital copyright protection devices (e.g., CSS) illegal. This leads to the ridiculous situation whereby ripping the DVD itself may not be illegal except for the fact you have to break CSS!
For a good argument against this, read: http://www.doom9.org/dmca_revealed.htm
I cannot comment on the rest of the world, but at least in Australia, you can still probably use DeCSS quite legally (again, within Fair Use Policies). On p.18 of the November 2002 issue of Australian Personal Computer (APC), Professor Allan Fels (chairman of the Australian Competition and Consumer Commissio -- ACCC) remarked the following on the question "When is it okay for consumers to circumvent hardware or software to gain legitimate access to digital media?"
--edited -- It is important to note that the prohibition in the Copyright Act is on making or supplying a circumvention device or service, not actually installing it, so what Parliament is trying to do is crack down on the commercial supply of devices with aid piracy.
In any case, it should be patently clear that offering warez is not tolerated on this board. dvdhacker sweden, I am glad that you offered it as it gives us a definite reason to ban you.
