  1. Hi there, I've burnt quite a few SVCD's and it plays well in my Pioneer
Dvd Player. I sent some copies to my sister who lives in the UK but she's having problems playing them on her Pioneer Dvd Player. What seems odd is the fact that one movie would play or half of the 2 disc's plays ok while the other half doesn't when they're done or burned the same way.
Does PAL or NTSC setting have anything to do with this ???? I'm new to this, please give advise, Thanks in advance !!!
P.S. All those discs are NTSC.

  2. Most newer UK spec DVD's and TV's are capable of playing/displaying both NTSC and PAL correctly. What is her Pioneer player I have a 636 and it does'nt play SVCD (although many other pioneer models do). However, you say it will play some but not others, are they all burnt on the same type of media ?, did you test the copies on your equipment before you sent them to the UK ?. Could just be that you have a few bad discs in a batch.

  3. Thanks for the reply, yes the discs were burnt on the same CDRW and the same software and I tried them all first before I mailed them and they all worked fine in my player.
I'm not sure what model her dvd player is but it 's a multi-region one. Any more ideas I could try??? Thanks again.......
