I have been looking for an affordable method of doing simple multiplexing in a batch environment.
I have seen several commercial utilities that provide many features (and costs) that I do not require.
Has anybody seen any Windows command-line multiplex utilities?
I am doing my video and audio encoding in separate steps (I can batch the creation of both easily), it's just putting them together that requires the hands-on approach.
For that matter, has anybody seen a *nix util for this? I would prefer a tool that could handle MPEG-1 and 2, but at this point I'll take what I can get.

The free MJPEG-tools package (written for UNIX, with win32 builds available) has a program called "mplex" for multiplexing both MPEG-1 and -2. I'm not sure of the details of what it does and doesn't support, and I have heard of some people having problems with it. Might be worth a try, though.
