  1. Hello!

I´ve got two quetsions and I was wondering if you guys could help me.
I´m a bit confused and need more detailed explanations.

I´ve read "Doom9.org´s" and "Derrow's" guide how to copy a DVD to two DVD-r. Here´s the problem. In Derrow´s guide it says like this:

"As you can see, the Menu-files are missing. You must copy them manually to both destination directories like this:
Also it is required, that the DVD should have a Title Set 1. So you must copy VTS_01_x.xxx too, like below:
But you can leave the VTS_01_x.VOBs away, except for the Menu-VOB:"

Now look at this picture on what he copied:

Why is he copying VTS8?? What does it contain? I´m really confused since this wasn´t in Doom9.org´s guide.

    ************************************************** **********

Now to the other question: In Doom9.org´s guide it says that you nedd to copy the menu to both discs. VTS_XY_0.VOB has to be on both discs, including the associated .IFO and .BUP files.

OK! But when you look at Derrow's guide, you see that almost none of these are copied. Why?? He only copied VTS_02_0.VOB (but ignorde the associated ifo and bup-files) and VTS8. If someone could spend some time explaining these two things to me, I would be a very, very happy guy.

    Thanks for a great forum!

  2. That guide needs to be updated to include IFOEDIT 0.94 (things are a little different). I have to split a DVD tonite when I get home, so I will try to write up a current tutorial for it.

  3. That would be really great!

But if you could explain these two thing for me, I would be more than thankful. Even though I would manage to do a perfect copy of a DVD to two DVD-R´s, I would still wonder about these to things.

So please try and explain to me why they are doing this?

I also would appreciate you taking the time to create a new dvd9-2-2dvdrguide.
I use ifoedit if the dvd will fit on 1 disk, but use cce/spruce if it will not!

    thanks
