  1. I just bought the Sony 500A and installed it last night. Now my internet is kinda screwed up in that you have to refresh a page once in order to get the website to appear, but it does always show up. Has anyone else had this really weird problem. Also, norton antivirus keeps turning off email protection on startup, but then I can manually reactivate email virus scanning.

Also, when burning onto + or - RW, do I have to close the disc for (s)vcd's in order to play the movie. And lastly, once I close a DVDRW (for e.g. audio cd), can I erase the RW and rewrite to it even after it's been closed? My reason for wanting to do this is to test on my cd player and dvd standalone, but then having the option to rewrite if it doesn't work and hence not wasting a dvdrw (and also to avoid putting endless hours into a project that will never work anyways!).

    Thanks

I have the same drive. Im not sure about most of your questions but you can delete the RW after you close it. Use the record now program and on the right side there is an option to erase. Push the button and there you go. It erases extremely fast. It only takes about 4 or 5 seconds to delete 4+ gigs. I thought that was impressive.
