  1. I am trying to follow bilestyle's guide to sync up a compressed dvd. I am still having troubles installing the mpeg 2 compent to work properly. I tried to the installation tips found on this thread but the mpeg 2 export option still does not appear. Can someone please help.

can you EVER get mpeg-2 export to work? even if you open a format it technically supports? (i.e. quicktime movie?) something to keep in mind you cant just drop the export component inside the folder it needs to be in (/library/quicktime) - im pretty sure thats where it is - you need to have quicktime pro 6 serialized, as well as DVD studio pro installed and serialized for the export to work. Until all of that is done mpeg-2 export will NOT work.

  3. I finally got the mpeg 2 encoder installed I believe. I reinstalled dvdsp and qt 6.0.2 and now export to mpeg 2 becomes an option but this is only available on qt running classic and i have 10.2.2 as the qt on jaguar still does not have that option. Oh well thats better then nothing.

However when trying to follow the bilestyle sync tutorial I hit a snag. I was able to rip, multiplex in mmt. MMT spits out one mpeg file and when I try to get qt running on classic to open it says "could not open a software component could not be found" Bilestyle, Am I missing anything else?

you also need the mpeg-2 decoding component for quicktime... that is a 20$ addon ( i dont know if you have to spend an extra 20 to get it for both 9 and X because there is a different plugin for exach operating system)
