Can you export to a camcorder via firewire a edited film tha

Hi, I want to export a movie from adobe premeire or where ever to my digital 8 camcorder. Can I do this if the movie is a divx or mpeg 4 codec? or does it have to be converted? also what software do I need to be able to do this?

P.s. I have a 2 fire wire ports on my computer, but I do not have a fire wire card, does this matter?

Yes, but it depends on your "ports". i.e. whether they allow output as well as input. Try it. You'll find out fast enough if it works or not.

The resolution will probably have to be 720x480, that's the DV codec standard (for NTSC anyway).
