When I capture stuff the resulting movie has an annoying flickering at the very bottom (last few lines). Anyway to prevent or remove this.

We clip (or crop) them off. If using Virtual Dub, the filter is called Null Trasform. When you add it, select the Crop button. If using TMPGEnc, use Setting, Advanced tab, and double click Clip Frame option.

Hey thanks TommyKnocker,
One problem I am having with Virtualdub is that when it saves the video capture the capture plays back with a completely green image? You have any idea why it does that. I can view the capture fine, and when it is saving I can see the data updating on the the right (size, frames ..etc). But when I actually play back the image its all green. BTW, I'm on winXP.
Also, when you do the crop, do you crop it while its capturing or do you have to edit it after the fact. Thanks again!

Are your Nimo Codecs installed? (See Tools) As for when you crop/clip, it is a personal preference. If you drop ANY frames during capture. Clip afterwards. If you have no problems during capture it is okay. As for me, I clip in TMPGEnc, as part of my "tweaking" my video and formatiing it before being viewed by my friends.
