Creatuive DXR3 Not reading my dvd-r created in a Pioneer A03

I own a dxr3 from creative , the only way taht I can look dvds in my thx is thriugh th PC-DVD app (from creative) any way , A friend of mine copy Spiderman with is pioneer A03 , and my pc.-dvd doesn't read it
The funny thing is that if IO go to the explorer the .vob are there!!!

I'm using win98Se and it's an encorey6x the package
Another strange thing this friend of mine put this dvd-r in an external dvd player and it works ok!
I'm kindda lost here , any help?

I don't know if this answers your question but my understanding is not all dvd-rom drives can read dvdr's...I might be wrong..

My DXR2 can read fine, but then I'm not using the hardware decoder card any long as they are hardly needed these days. if it seems to actually read the disk ok you might want to try loading up PowerDVD or something like that and see if it can read it... long as your drives plugged directly into an standard IDE controller it should. That will help you decide if its the drive or the software thats the issue.

YES! , the power DVD read it just fine the , tyhing is that i MUST use the cretive PC-DVD app to be able to see DVDs on my TV , I'm thinkin trying the drivers and apps of the hollywood , but i'm not sure though
