I'm sorry. But my computer is a 350 MHz P2 and is still doing well. Of course no video stuff. However I need a new soundcard and was thinking about a card including a FireWire port. Will a 350MHz P2 have enough performance to capture DV video via this FireWire port?

Yes.
The link provided is for the Soundblaster Audigy. This has built in firewire. It also gives the specification of the the systems it can be installed in.

Most capture problems, dropping frames etc can be overcome by fitting a second dedicated hard disk for capturing to.
