  1. I'm having some problems with a couple of quicktime MOV's. TMPGEnc gives an error (Illegal Floating Point blabla)when I try to convert them to MPG, so I tried to convert them to AVI first using Radtools. This worked, AVI's turn out fine, tested them in MediaPlayer, but when I try to convert them to MPG, there's no video. The converted MPG file only contains the audiotrack, with minute after of minute of total blackness to displease my eyes.

Am I doing something very wrong or is this is a problem of the source file?

  2. I had no success trying to convert mov's even with Radtools until I uninstalled QT 5 and installed QT 4 - everything worked fine after that with the quicktime reader plugin for TMPGEnc. There are sometimes some 'locks' on commercial mov files but this process seemed override them...Hope this helps
