  1. So frustrating....I Download a DivX Video off of Kazaa, save the wav file of the whole movie, split it with tmpgenc and convert to mpeg, add chapters with VCDEasy, save the cue, then burn. By the time I watch the last part of the mpeg, the sound is off a few seconds, and the video occasionally freezes. I have a panasonic rv32 DVD player, I use Nero at 4x instead of 24x, and I am completly lost. I understand you can check for bad frames, but I don't know how to edit them out. I understand how to edit using tmpgenc, but I don't know how to find which frames are bad? Could taking out the frames solve my problem? Sorry about my sorry Newbieness. Thanks.

  2. All your questions and more can be answered by a simple search of the site. There are guides and forum postings galore on removing bad frames and solving audio sync issues.

W.r.t to the audio sync, are you sure you encoded to mpeg at the same framerate as the original AVI. If not this can cause auio sync drift.

1st, it is considered bad form to hijack threads by introducing a different subject. Please start a new thread.

2nd, to answer your question, yes, just copy the ac3 track from the original DVD to your DVD-r. For more info search the forum or take a look at the many comprehensive guides available on this site. If still having difficulties then come back and ask in the appropriate forum.
