The MPEG(s)I am refering to have been created from VHS tape using Dazzle DVC with a customized VCD template. The VHS tapes I am dubbing are over 10 years old and need all of the help possible...so I have boosted the settings for video and audio.
After "producing " the MPEG with DVC, I then (try to) encode the MPEG using the latest version of TMPGEnc(i). Within TMPGEnc I use the basic VideoCD NTSC template...I tried customizing this template as well. Before encoding I reviewing the "preview" and there is no choppiness.
When the encoding is completed and I play the MPEG file on WMP 7.1 or the DVD software my Dell came with, or if I burn a VCD with Nero the result is very choppy. The orginal does not do that.
The only reson that I am using TMPGEnc is to reduce the file size of the MPEG created with DVC. Anyone have any suggestions...please help....
