Sorry but I dont understand. Your dvd player just plays the dvds. It is the recorder that has the macrovision copy protection. ?????

  3. in response to Troyvcd1,

DVD players have a system called Macrovision built in to the player, which is designed to stop the copying of DVD discs to video. However, this system can have adverse affects on some projectors.

i'm not sure but i think u might need some hardware upgrade to disable the macrovision on this model ( i could be wrong though!), unlike early apex dvd players where u could disable macrovision from an on screen menu.
i think the only quick hack that can be done on your model is a region change
