I want to burn MPEG files using Roxio Easy CD Creator 5. Platnuim but I get this messege when I drag the file into the burning stage, "To make this file video CD compliant, you will need to use an MPEG encoder that supports Video CD encoding." I don't know what program there is to use or how to change it to into the right file source. If anyone know how to please give me an e-mail or reply back.
Thanks

ONE topic one ONE forum is enough!
I would try VCDEasy or Nero instead of Easy CD 5...a lot of users have problems with easy cd vcd. -
And to answer your question, there are many encoders capable of VCD compliant encoding.
I would recommend TMPGEnc as a good choice (freeware)
Among the popular choices (non freeware):
Xing Mpeg Encoder
Panasonic Mpeg encoder
EO Video
Ligos Encoder
Quite like the results with Panasonic Encoder.

OK.I have Roxio 5.X Platinium,but never used it.So,if your file is resolution 320*240 or 352*288(PAL),but not a vcd compliant file,so burn it as a non-compliant vcd file,so called xvcd.Most stand-alone players will play your cd's.Try it,but use Nero5.XXXX.
