  1. I have just watched the same movie in two different formats, svcd (mpeg2) and divx (mpeg4). They looked identical to me (?), however, mpeg4 fits into 1 cd while mpeg2 requires 2. What's the point of having mpeg2, only to be able to watch movies on stationary dvd? I would watch movie only on my computer, as such, which format is the best for me in terms of quality/disk space ratio (I prefer quality though). Thanks in advance for suggestions.

  4. If you are only going to watch it on your computer then stick with divx. SVCD wasn't ment for the pc.

  5. thanks man, one might draw an analogy with music CD's,- the ones used on stereo's can handle 15 songs, while 150 mp3's can fit into one CD to be listen on computer of the same quality.
