I just read that my DVD player can read XSVCD's, and pretty much any other type of media.
What program can make XSVCD's? Can I use nero. Also can TMPGEnc encode at the bitrate for XSVCD's?
Thanks

Yes. If not compliant SVCD bitrate is used, Nero offers to make XSVCD. TMPGEnc can encode at any bitrate.

What do you mean by if not compliant SVCD bitrate is used. Where is that setting in NERO?

It is hard-coded into Nero (2748kbps combined). If Nero notices max bitrate higher than that, it offers either to re-encode or make XSVCD. Just encode Your vid and drop into Nero

Sweet thanks. I've been trying different encoding setups... right now i'm doing my episodes in SVCD, 480x480 (which i heard it good) 29.97 fps, 1950kbps (Should i make this higher?) with 2 pass VBR.
Sound good or should I adjust that? Looking for best quality -

Nope actualy its at 44.1.
I know the specs I had there were not XSVCD, i figure I might as well stick with SVCD, I heard that it's better off anyway.
So with the specs I gave that should provide me with the best quality of SCVD then?
