Hi,
I ripped a DVD and I made the two VCD file.
All throughout the movie, the audio comes a fraction of a second before the video. From the beginning of the movie to the end (I think).
What can I do to sync them?

when you had the AVI, did you check for bad frames?
What's the file typ of the video file you have... (mpeg 1 or 2?) cuz when it's 2, you can have codec problems (like i do) and in fact it's correct, there is no problem

In short:
- Demux video and audio with TMPGEnc
Load audio into audio editor (Cool Edit, Goldwave, Soundforge...)
Insert "fraction of a second" silence at start of audio
Save as wav
Reencode wav to mp2 with tooLame or wav2mp
Multiplex video (from step 1) with new mp2 using TMPGEnc
Done.

Well, then I might suggest a look at the Howtos under the heading "How to repair downloaded video clips or fix audio sync problems", to the left of this message !
It describes things in more words, but boils down to what I wrote before...
