  1. i have a short movie that i am playing with to test things out... i got it from kazaa - it has saved itself as quick time movie player format - well thats wot it says under file type, but it mite be mp3.

Anyway, i burned it to disk using Nero and used the svcd format (yes i have the plug in that converts files).

went to play it on DVD on computer using PowerDVD software that came with PC and it wuoldnt accept it.

So i tried again, but this time saved it as DATA and it then played on my DVD software.

Why wouldnt it accept it as SVCD?

Any suggestions - is it my DVD software or are computer DVDs different than normal ones.. as u can tell i am a complete newby to DVDs/Burning/ etc.. but pretty up to date on other things...just all new to me...and takes ages to read through everthing to understand!

    Thanks for reading!

  2. after looking at my DVD software PowerDVD - i have been to the site, and it seems that my software is quite old as it doesnt accept SVCD format, but that shouldnt be a problem now as i can upgrade to their current version that does accept SVCD.

    so - hopefully problem sorted!!!
