i have a short movie that i am playing with to test things out... i got it from kazaa - it has saved itself as quick time movie player format - well thats wot it says under file type, but it mite be mp3.
Anyway, i burned it to disk using Nero and used the svcd format (yes i have the plug in that converts files).
went to play it on DVD on computer using PowerDVD software that came with PC and it wuoldnt accept it.
So i tried again, but this time saved it as DATA and it then played on my DVD software.
Why wouldnt it accept it as SVCD?
Any suggestions - is it my DVD software or are computer DVDs different than normal ones.. as u can tell i am a complete newby to DVDs/Burning/ etc.. but pretty up to date on other things...just all new to me...and takes ages to read through everthing to understand!![]()
Thanks for reading!

after looking at my DVD software PowerDVD - i have been to the site, and it seems that my software is quite old as it doesnt accept SVCD format, but that shouldnt be a problem now as i can upgrade to their current version that does accept SVCD.
so - hopefully problem sorted!!!
