Good Morning,
Well I ripped a few DVD's over the weekend and I used TMPGEnc to covert them to VCD but I cant seem to find out a good way to bring over the Video Quality, Right now I'm ripping WindTalkers and I changed the some settings but its taking along time 16 hours, Yeah I know but I have 1800 Intel P4 W/512 so is not my box, I played 16.9 Display anywhere I could change it and the quality is looking a little bit better but I wont find out until I get home from work.....
Does anyone know a the best way to bring the Video Quality over I dont care about time or Power, I have 4 1800 + systems....
Please someone help me out........
Thankz.![]()

Tommyknocker is right, just read the setting that he gave you and play around with some of the filters in TMPGEnc.
Now if you use filters for sure the higher the setting you'll put in the more time it'll take to encode your movies.(Twice or even three times more)
I'm always playing around with the noise reduction filter, the ghost reduction, the sharpness, and the simple or custom colour filter.
You might see some slight improvement in the quality
Just follow the quides on this web site and make sure you enter the right values for each filter, then let the computer do all the work.
JUST A SUGGESTION WHEN YOU ARE TRYING OUT FILTERS FOR FIRST TIME IN TMPGEnc MAKE SURE YOU TRY THEM OUT ON SMALL FILES, AND IF YOU ARE SATISFIED AT ALL THAN DO THE WHOLE MOVIE, DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME ON FILTERING THE WHOLE MOVIE BECAUSE AFTER YOU MIGHT NOT LIKE IT
hope this helps
