Hi there,
I have a problem with a capture (Batman 2K cartoon) I made in 352*576. I used the Morgan MJPEG codec in interlaced mode.
When I converted it to MPEG2 (Videodeluxe 2 with Ligos GoMotion), I saw the preview going back and forth on certain parts. Played on TV, it's a really ugly effect.
These parts show some interlace artifacts (horizontal lines) in the original capture. It appears on fast moving parts, but also some globally slow parts as well (where only the lips are moving for example).
I fixed the problem by deinterlacing before encoding, but I'd like to understand why this problem occurs.
