Hi all,
I am currently trying to backup my old VHS tapes on DVD
I recently bought a Leadtek Winfast A250 video card with TVIn/TV out capabilities
This card was provided with the WDM driver 1.17 from nvidia which has the macrovision protection.
Therfore each time I captured the movies I had this big white stripe across the screen (horizontal)
I read the different topic on this forum and found that by installing the WDM driver version 1.08 it will solve the problem
That's what I did and it worked fine until I realized that even if I specified a DVD PAL format, the capture video resolution is 704 x 576 instead of 720 x 576
Therefore Scenarist - dvd authoring program - does not accept my file
Any idea about how to fix this problem ?
I don't mind reinstalling the previous WDM providing the fact that I can have a solution to get rid of the macrovision white stripe 5unless the problem is somewhere else)
I am desesperate as I have more than 200 tapes to backup
any help is welcome
ps: the capture programs I am using are
- powervcr II v3
- winfast PVR (provided with the video card)
- adobe premiere 6.0 or 6.5 but ther eis no mpeg 2 settings
I tried to demux the file and reencode the video stream in the right DVD Pal format and import it in scenarist to see if the resolution was effectively the cause of the reject. That worked fine
