  1. Hello there,

I am trying to create an autoplay menu with Autoplay Menu Studio 3. I have several .wmv files of a speech i have that I want to put on the cd. I want to be able to send it to schools and have them click on the link and have it play the clip. But, where I am a bit confused is how to insure that it will play for them. The way I have it now is that it will only play if the clips are in the directory I pointed it to. But, obviously this does not work for everyone. so how do I make it so the clips will play when you click on the link? Thanks in advance for your help.

  2. blindy,
I think you´re talking about where their CD drive is... on D: or E:, right? Because you have to specify the path to the video files on your links.

I´m new to this too but I don´t think there is a way out if you put your menu on CD. Unless they have it executable from another location such as C:\"create a directory". In this case you would have to instruct your students to copy the files to such directory instead of having it "autorun" from the CD. Your path would then be that one.

Since most CD drives are D:, I think, you could alternatevely create a link on your Menu to solve problems so they´ll get in touch when they don´t see the thing running.

  3. Hey thanks for the reply. Yeah, that was my problem. So, you think there is n no way to link the files without giving a drive letter.? Damn, I was afraid of that. Well, hopefully someone knows a way around it or maybe Autoplay Studio will come out with something. Thanks

  4. I would seriously suggest you upgrade to version 4, it offers a lot more than version 3 and I think you would find it easier to use. It is easier to set up a working directory that will transfer to cd.

  5. I will definitly take you up on that next time but my project is already finished in V3 and it seems you can not take a project from 3 and transfer it to 4. So is there anyway to do what I want in V3. Can I set it up so no matter what drive the cd is placed in the clips will play. Thanks
