    Hi,
Why should I try to make my DVD2VCD with AC3 sound? What is AC3?

And if its "all that" ... how do I do it the easiest way (is there a guide for it in vcdhelp.com?)?

    Thanks

    i'm sure ....

ac3 btw is the name for a dolby digital compressed audio file ... around here know often as DD .. it can be anywhere from mono to 6 channels (in fact really 8 sortof) ..

it is not supported on svcd's and vcd's

i managed to do by making a transport stream mpeg muxed with mpeg2 and ac3 file ... then using transport stream convertor from either an old version of pixel tools or vitec to convert to a program stream ..

i think i also sometimes used a program to fix stream header.. bitrate viewer can do this in the full version ...

but it only worked not often and only in very few players.. so i gave up working on it as i saw no real reason for the effort anyway ...

  8. What was the reason for using a transport stream?
