  1. I downloaded star trek avi files and it has those damn german subtitles on the bottom of the screen. I have virtual dub and the filter but i dont know how to remove them. Is it worth going through the trouble or should i just search for the regular ones. I loaded the video file and the filter but im not sure how do remove them without messing up the video.

  2. The logoaway type filters in virtualdub work best on static type logos, not changing subs. You can black them out but there is no way to get the picture back if the subs are hardcoded onto the video. Maybe you should consider getting other files?
