DVDx Ratio problem

Hello,
when i covert from dvd to vcd with dvdx, it converts properly, but when i watch it on my dvd player it seems stretched horizontally on the tv and you cant see the whole image.

It depends on how you set the Ratio, I always set it to 4:3 (the first option) and that retains the original 16:9 with the black bars, when you tell it to make the movie 16:9, it will basicly steatch the movie because your TV is not 16:9
