Hi People
Just bought the above cheapie from Richer Sounds. Plugged in did
multi region hack, no probs. Sat down to check out an RCE disc. No
probs.
In screen setup, video output there is a choice between:
Normal (composite I presume) which looked a little funny OR
YUV (which I presume is RGB)
When YUV is selected the picture is Black and White. This applies to
both PAL and NTSC discs, I did try just in case.
DVD player is connected via scart to RGB input on TV. My old Samsung
709 was set to output RGB and this worked fine (in colour) it's just
it started skipping and stuff so I chopped it in at Richer.
The manual also says it doesn't support VCD, yet I've found people on
usenet suggesting it does. Will have to try and find a few and see.
Very odd if it doesn't as it will play MP3 and CDR and CD-RW.
Any help gratefully accepted.
Luap
PS when I borrowed a Cyberhome the composite also looked horrid, but when set to RGB through same scart the picture was fine.
