  1. i have multiple vob files that i want on 1 dvdr... they are not dvd rips they are captures from a video source and are vob files not mpeg files....i have tried everything to author these files so i can burn them but every program i have tried is wanting it to be a mpeg file...is there no software out there that can do this from a straight vob file...dvdit is the only software i have not tried but unfortunatly the trial version is no longer available....i have tried spruce up, ulead dvd factory, i have even tried to merge the vobs together but still nothing will give me the ifo and other files i need to burn...i use neodvd to capture and burn to a dvd but more than 1 vob file seems to be impossible....

Does neodvd capture to vob? if so doesnt it also make the ifos and such? or else I dont see the point.

You can demultiplex the vobs to mpeg video and audio files and import them in most dvd authoring tools. www.vcdhelp.com/faq#demultiplex

  3. yes...it makes the ifo's but only for 1 vob file...i've tried to place a second vob file into the same folder but it wouldn't work...even joining the 2 vobs together and placeing them into the same folder as the original folder didn't work....i think the only way i can do what i need to do is to demultiplex...i was just hopeing for an eisier way without doing all that... so far i have not been very successful with anything that has to do with multiplexing and such....

Maybe neodvd will fix it if you complain.

  5. You need a tool which will join and segment your VOB clips into 1GB VOBs, then update all of the navigation packs in all of the VOBs with new VOB and Cell IDs.

VobEdit will do this. To create the needed IFO files afterwards, you can use IfoEdit.
